CU teacher dies with Covid-19 like symptoms

A teacher of Chittagong University (CU) died with coronavirus like symptoms early today.
Deceased Sabrina Islam Sweety, hailing from Banshkhali upazila, was a teacher at the Institute of Modern Language of the university.
SM Monirul Islam, proctor of the university, said she breathed her last at the Intensive Care Unit of Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital at around 3am.
"Sweety had respiratory problem. She was admitted to the hospital on Sunday midnight. It is not confirmed yet whether she was infected with coronavirus or not. Her sample was collected. The report is yet to come," he added.
Meanwhile, 279 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Chattogram.
Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, said 1,219 samples were tested in Chattogram. Of those, 279 came positive. Among the infected, 180 are the residents of the port city and others are from different upazilas.
