Covid-19: MMCH doctor Emdad airlifted to Dhaka
He has been moved to Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Hospital in the capital for advanced treatment
A physician of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH), who has Covid-19 symptoms, was airlifted to Dhaka on Saturday afternoon following deterioration of his condition.
Dr Emdad Ullah Khan, assistant professor at the Medicine Department of Mymensingh Medical College (MMC), was sent to Dhaka by an air ambulance of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) around 4:50pm, Medicine Department's Registrar Dr Mohiuddin Khan said.
He has been moved to Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Hospital in the capital for advanced treatment.
Dr Emdad has been undergoing treatment at MMCH after noticing Covid-19 symptoms in him. However, he tested negative for Covid-19 three days ago.
As Dr Emdad still has Covid-19 symptoms and his condition deteriorated, his sample was again sent to the lab of MMC today, Dr Mohiuddin said.
