Covid-19 claims 50 lives, infects 1,053 in Narayanganj
Every day, around 200 samples are sent to Dhaka for Covid-19 testing
In the last 24 hours, two people have died from Covid-19 and 27 have been infected by the virus in Narayanganj.
The number of deaths reached 50 while the number of infected is 1,053, according to the civil surgeon office sources.
Imtiaz Ahmed, civil surgeon of the district, said that every day, around 200 samples are sent to Dhaka for testing.
"However, the number of Covid-19 infected people has decreased to some extent in the last 24 hours than the past couple of days," he said.
Crowds have increased in Narayanganj since Monday morning. Shops in different areas were opened while the routine patrol of the law enforcers was lower as well.
Zayedul Alam, police superintendent of the district, said that the law enforcement agencies are following the highest measures to control the lockdown.
"Some of the people in different areas are getting out of home. Police are trying to send them back to their home," he added.
