Covid-19 death toll rises again
In the last four days, daily Covid-19 deaths were below 10, but on Tuesday, 18 more deaths were recorded
Bangladesh recorded 18 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 399 new cases in the last 24 hours till Tuesday at 8am.

Earlier, on 18 February, 15 people died from Covid-19. Although the conditions improved a little, after four days, deaths have increased again.
The country's death toll from the virus now stands at 8,374, read a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Also, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country rose to 5,44,116.
Tuesday's infection rate was 3.13% of the total tests, though the overall rate in the country to date was 13.70%. The death rate stands at 1.54%.
Among the latest day's victims, 10 were men and eight were women, of whom 12 hailed from Dhaka, two each from Chattogram and Rajshahi, one each from the Khulna and Rangpur division.
Of the victims, 16 died in different hospitals across the country while two died at home.
Meanwhile, 12,748 samples were tested in 214 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. A total of 39,71,524 samples have been tested in the country so far.
Also, around 828 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 4,92,887 with a 90.58% recovery rate.
Earlier on 8 March, 2020, Bangladesh reported its first Covid-19 case and later on 18 March, the first death from the virus was reported.
