Coronavirus: 6.53cr people received govt relief so far
According to reports received from 64 districts, 201,417MT rice was allocated as relief and 167,795MT was distributed among 65,293,720 people and over 14,729,532 families till June 8 (Monday), said a handout on Tuesday
Over 6.53 crore people across the country have received relief provided by the government to ease their sufferings and miseries during the coronavirus crisis.
According to reports received from 64 districts, 201,417MT rice was allocated as relief and 167,795MT was distributed among 65,293,720 people and over 14,729,532 families till June 8 (Monday), said a handout on Tuesday.
Besides, the government has allocated over Tk 116 crore in cash as relief and allocated Tk 911,372,264. So far, Tk 780,152,661 has been distributed among 4.21 crore individuals of 9,444,689 families.
Apart from this, 6.67 lakh beneficiaries of 13.79 lakh families received Tk 209,827,854 as baby food aid worth, out of Tk 25.54 crore allocated by the government, the handout added.
