Close shops, supershops, kitchen markets by 7pm daily: DMP
Pharmacies and other emergency services will remain out of purview of the restrictions
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued an order to close all shops, supershops and kitchen markets by 7pm daily in the capital in a move to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
The shops and groceries of daily necessaries located in various residential areas will be remain open till 2pm from 6am in the morning.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media), confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
"DMP commissioner asked to impose the order. The order will be effective until further notice," he added.
Pharmacies and other emergency services will remain out of purview of the restrictions.
The government earlier extended the countrywide shutdown till April 14. DMP has also impose ban on entry to and exit from the capital.
So far 12 people have died from the deadly virus and 123 are infected in the country till date.
