Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi wished a speedy recovery of Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen from Covid-19.

In a message to the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Wang Yi said China is always ready to provide any kind of assistance for Momen's speedy recovery, said a press release.

"Actually, it's a tough time for all of us," said Wang Yi, adding, "In this challenging time, it is essential that everyone be united and cooperate with each other."

Dr Ak Abdul Momen tested positive for Covid-19 on November 25 during a routine check. He is now maintaining quarantine following health guidelines.

He was scheduled to leave for Niger to attend the 47th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM).
