BSMMU Prof Gazi Zahirul dies of Covid-19
He was undergoing treatment at the incentive care unit (ICU) in Dhaka Medical College Hospital
Dr Gazi Zahirul Hasan, a professor at the Department of Pediatric Surgery in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) died of Covid-19 on early Friday.
Dr Md Zillur Rahman Bhuiyan, general secretary at the BSMMU Teachers' Association told The Business Standard today.
Gazi Zahirul was undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He was a 17th batch student of Mymensingh Medical College.
According to the Bangladesh Medical Association, 27 doctors have died of coronavirus, so far, and four more died of the symptoms in the country till date.
