Bashundhara Group donates safety equipment to BGB

The Bashundhara Group has continued its supports for different government agencies during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
To this respect, the country's leading business conglomerate donated 25,000 face masks and 1000 personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said a media statement on Sunday.
Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir handed over the safety kits to BGB Director General Major General Md Shafeenul Islam at the BGB headquarters in the capital.
As part of the corporate social responsibility, the group also set up the country's largest 2013-bed hospital only for the corona-infected patients.
Apart from this, the group also donated Tk100 million to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to fight against the virus.
Earlier, the Bashundhara Group provided 50,000 face masks for Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), 50,000 masks and 1,400 packets of food items for Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), 50,000 masks, 500 PPE and 700 packets of food items for Navy to tackle the pandemic.
It also donated 25,000 masks to the DMP Traffic Division (North), and 1,000 PPE and 50,000 masks to the Directorate General of Medical Service in this regard.
