Bangladesh sees lowest Covid deaths in 8 months
Country reported 8 more Covid deaths and 656 new cases in the last 24 hours
Bangladesh today confirmed the lowest coronavirus death toll in eight months, with eight new deaths recorded in the last 24 hours till Wednesday 8am.
Previously, the lowest number of deaths from Covid-19 in a single day was 8, which was reported on May 9.
The country's death toll from the virus now stands at 7,950, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In the last 24 hours, 656 people tested positive for Covid-19 and the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 529,687.
The country's maiden cases were reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the virus was reported on March 18.
