Another doctor dies from Covid-19
Dr Kohel Karim, a doctor of National Medical College's Medicine Department, died from Covid-19 on Friday afternoon.
He breathed his last in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Popular Medical College Hospital in the capital, Dr Rahat Anwer Choudhury, joint secretary of the Foundation for Doctors' Safety, Rights and Responsibilities (FDSR) told The Business Standard.
He was a former student of Mymensingh Medical College.
So far, 60 doctors died of Covid-19 in the country. 7 more died with symptoms of Covid-19.
Bangladesh today confirmed 51 deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,034 new cases of infection.
With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 2,547 and the number of total infections stood at 1,99,357.
