A helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) flew in Dr Masud Ahmed, a doctor of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) who was diagnosed with Covid-19 on April 18, to Dhaka for better treatment.
The helicopter landed in the Old Airport of the capital's Tejgaon on Thursday night after departing from Khulna earlier on the night.
"As the physical condition of Dr Masud Ahmed started to deteriorate, the Air Force is flying him to Dhaka for better treatment," a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate said today.
Dr Masud Ahmed is the assistant professor of the Urology department of KMCH. He was undergoing treatment at the corona unit of KMCH since he was tested positive.
"He is being taken to the capital's Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital for better treatment," KMCH Principle Professor Abdul Ahad told The Business Standard.
