59 Bogura policemen to donate plasma for Covid-19 patients
In the first phase, 40 policemen on Sunday morning went to Dhaka to give plasma to the patients while 19 others will go on Monday
Some 59 members of Boguradistrict police will provide plasma to assist in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
All of them had contracted the deadly virus while on duty.

A Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital medical team tested the antibodies of 117 police members who were infected with the virus at different times, police officials said. Of them, the medical team declared 59 police personnel eligible to donate plasma.
According to police officials, the police personnel who went in the first phase include one inspector, 12 sub-inspectors, eight assistant sub-inspectors and 19 constables.
Sheikh Farid Uddin, sub-inspector (investigation) of Kahalu Police Station, said, "As a police member, I am happy to have the opportunity to give plasma and contribute to such a service to the country."
Another police constable Mosaddeq Hossain said, "I am a bit scary as this is my first time of giving plasma. On top of that, I recovered from the virus a few days ago but thinking about the people I will still give plasma."
BoguraSadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Sanatan Chakraborty said, "A total of 149 police personnel have been infected with the virus in the district so far. Of them, 142 have recovered."
