34 Barishal policemen resume work after Covid-19 recovery

Thirty-four members of the Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) have resumed work after recovering from the novel coronavirus.
BMP Commissioner Shahabuddin Khan congratulated the policemen, and greeted them with flowers and various gift items at a reception for the personnel at the Barishal Police Lines on Wednesday.
So far, 183 members of the BMP have tested positive in four police stations and different units, and 76 policemen are presently undergoing treatment.
Among the 34 policemen who recovered, there are members of different ranks including six SIs, one TSI, six Naiks and 16 constables.
"The police presented themselves as humanitarians amid this great calamity just as Bangabandhu had once dreamed of. Even if the disaster is averted, these qualities must be maintained," said BMP Commissioner Shahabuddin Khan.
He added that the policeman have been getting infected while working tirelessly to provide food aid to the helpless and steam the spread of the Covid-19.
"Every policeman has been providing door-to-door services to the people to implement the directives of the honourable inspector general of police," said Shahabuddin Khan.
