Covid-19 death toll in Bangladesh reaches 4,479, total cases 3.25 lakh
In the latest Covid-19 bulletin, 1,592 people were reported positive for the novel coronavirus

Bangladesh has confirmed 32 more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours until 8:00am on Sunday.
The country's death toll from the virus rose to 4,479, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In the latest Covid-19 bulletin, 1,592 people were reported as positive for the novel coronavirus, raising the total number of infected people to 3,25,157.
The single-day infection rate was 14.02% against the number of samples tested; while the overall rate in the country to date was 19.96%.
Of the recently-deceased patients, 25 were men and seven were women. Moreover, 17 of them hailed from Dhaka, four from Chattogram and Khulna each, one from Barishal and Rangpur each, three from Sylhet, and two from Rajshahi.
Twenty-nine of them died in hospitals while three died at their homes, read the press release.
Around 68.05% of the novel coronavirus patients–symptomatic and asymptomatic–have recovered. The fatality rate is 1.38%.
A total of 3,423 patients were declared free of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours and the total number of those who have so far overcome the disease reached 2,21,275.
Currently, 52,120 people are quarantined across the country–including 1,494 newly-quarantined individuals.
The authorities placed 392 new individuals suspected of having Covid-19 into isolation.
The virus has killed around 8.17 lakh people globally and infected around 2.64 crore people so far.
