3 areas of Narayanganj announced ‘red zone’
The district administration has locked down three areas of Narayanganj for 14 days, marking them as 'Red zone.'
The areas are Amlapara andJamtola of Narayanganj city and RupayanTown under Fatullah Police Station of Sadarupazila.
Md Jasim Uddin, deputy commissioner of Narayanganj, made the announcement on Sunday.
He said, "The lockdown has been enforced from this morning. No people of the areas are allowed to travel another areas and no one can enter these areas without any emergency purpose."
No public transport is allowed to stop in the areas. The kitchen markets of the areas will remain closed during the lockdown period. The administration will arrange mobile kitchen market instead.
Only five to six devotees led by an imam can perform Namaj in a mosque. "All have to follow the health guideline," the deputy commissioner added.
