A total of 324 doctors of government and private hospitals across the country have tested positive with the novel coronavirus till date

A total of 25 doctors and nurses of capital's BRB Hospital have tested positive with the novel coronavirus.

Zane Alam Munshi, officer-in-charge of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

A total of 324 doctors of government and private hospitals across the country have tested positive with the novel coronavirus till date, according data provided by Doctors' Foundation's (BDF).

On April 23, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said, the government has taken initiative to appoint 2,000 doctors and 6,000 nurses as many doctors and nurses have tested positive with the virus and many are in quarantine.
