With this, the total number of coronavirus infections in Chattogram stands at 9,888

In the last 24 hours, 220 new cases of Covid -19 have been identified in Chattogram.

At the same time, two people have died of Covid-19 and 39 recovered from the deadly virus. 

With this, the total number of coronavirus infections in Chattogram stands at 9,888, according to a report published by the District Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday.

Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, said 1,050 samples were tested and 220 people were identified with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Of the infected people, 162 are from the city and 58 live in different upazilas.

On Saturday, 10 out of 51 samples tested in Chattogram University lab, and 14 out of 141 samples tested in Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) came out positive.

On the other hand, 93 out of 448 samples tested in Chattogram Medical College Lab were detected positive for coronavirus.

Also, 20 out of 203 samples tested in Chattogram Veterinary University and 83 out of 204 samples tested in the Chevron Lab came out positive. 

Cox's Bazar Medical College tested three samples from Chattogram but no one came out positive.

However, the data of Imperial Hospital was not in the report.
