180 more policemen tested Covid-19 positive
So far, 42 police members have died of the novel coronavirus
In the last 24 hours, 180 policemen have been infected with Covid-19. The total number of infected police personnel stood at 10,765 as of Tuesday, according to sources at the Police Headquarter.
A day ago, the number of infected policemen were 10,585.
Among the total policemen tested positive, 2,284 are from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Some 11,395 members of the police are in quarantine and 4,498 are in institutional isolation.
So far, 42 police members have died of the novel coronavirus and 6,438 police personnel have recovered.
