One lakh corona testing kits in stock: Health minister
He also urged people not to panic about coronavirus testing kits
The government has now stock of one lakh coronavirus testing kits as 50,000 new kits arrived here recently, said Health Minister Zahid Malik.
"We have sufficient personal protective equipment, though we do not need this much. Besides we are building more corona testing labs as additional measure within a week," the minister said during a briefing the Secretariat.
He also urged people not to panic about coronavirus testing kits, saying, "There are sufficient kits stocked in the country."
"Around 18,000 people are in self quarantine in the whole country. The government has already imposed strict rules. Expatriates should follow the rules so that none get infected with the virus," he added.
The health minister also said some 250 coronavirus tests were performed so far in the country.
