Govt repeals ‘treatment denial’ notice
The decree to inform law enforcement agencies about any refusal of treatments in the country’s hospitals will be annulled
The government notification that gave victims the right to contact law enforcement units if they are denied treatment by local hospitals was revoked a little after it was published on March 25.
The notification signed by Rokeya Khatun, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, was withdrawn through a government notice.
The decree to inform law enforcement agencies about any refusal of treatments in the country's hospitals will be annulled, the notice said.
A new gazette notification in this regard will be issued soon, it added.
