The condition of the Delta Medical College and Hospital's doctor, who tested positive with coronavirus after treating a corona patient of Tolarbag, is stable now.

"The doctor is suffering from panic disorder. His condition is stable now at the ICU of Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital," said Bangladesh Medical Association's Secretary General Dr. Md. Ehteshamul Huq Choudhury in a briefing today.

Bangladesh Doctors' Foundation's Chief Administrator Dr Nirupom Das said, "Family members of the doctors are kept in home quarantine in Basabo of the capital.

The 30-year-old doctor, who is an emergency medical officer of the hospital, tested positive with the virus yesterday. He treated Tolarbag's elderly coronavirus patient, who died on March 20.

After the death of the patient, four doctors, 12 nurses and three other supporting staff of the medical college were sent to home quarantine.

Bangladesh reported first death from coronavirus on March 18 and second death on March 21. The number of infected patients stood at 27 as of today.
