China announced on Thursday it will donate another $30 million to the World Health Organisation (WHO) to help the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The official's comments come around a week after the United States — also the WHO's biggest contributor — aid it would halt payments to the UN body after accusing it of "mismanaging" the COVID-19 crisis

Washington is reviewing the Organisation's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump has accused WHO of promoting Chinese "disinformation" about the virus, saying this had probably worsened the outbreak.

WHO officials defended the agency's handling of the pandemic, saying it alerted member states of the outbreak earlier in the year.
