Walton will lead Bangladesh in global digital economy: ICT Minister

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Monday said that Walton Digi-Tech will lead Bangladesh in the global digital economy.

The ICT Minister made the remarks while speaking as chief guest at a virtual program titled 'Walton Laptop Stay Home Offer at Walton e-Plaza', said a press release issued by Walton on Tuesday.

The minister said, "Walton has created trust among customers towards 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled products. Over 90 percent of the people are choosing Walton products. I am also using Walton laptop. Walton is our pride. Walton has gained fame on only in Bangladesh but worldwide. I believe by 2041, Walton Digi-Tech will lead Bangladesh in the global digital economy. The government will provide all kinds of assistance."

During the program, the state minister also officially inaugurated the campaign launched by Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited to facilitate consumers in purchasing various IT products staying at home avoiding the risk of coronavirus infection.

Customers will also get up to 20 percent discount on Walton IT products, EMI facility at zero interest, along with safe home delivery and various benefits for E-Plaza purchase, the release said.
