The Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) has started the operation of opening e-Account through its mobile app "SIBL NOW" for people to open a SIBL bank account from anywhere, anytime.

SIBL Managing Director and the CEO Quazi Osman Ali inaugurated the e-Account launching program as chief guest through a video conference on Wednesday (October 14) from the SIBL head office in Dhaka, said a press release.  

Among others, Deputy Managing Directors of SIBL - Abu Naser Chowdhury, Md Sirajul Hoque, Md Shamsul Hoque, Company Secretary Abdul Hannan Khan, CITO & ICTD Md Sultan Badsha, Head of Marketing & Brand Communication Md Moniruzzaman, and the Head of Card Division Md Sharif Al Kashem were also present at the program. Managers of different branches of SIBL virtually joined the program. 

In his inaugural speech, the CEO Quazi Osman said, "SIBL brings novelty and variety in its digital services and products to expedite the true digital transformation in the country, and launching e-Account is an addition to the list of its services." 

"Mudaraba Term Deposit Receipt (MTDR) Deposit Pension Scheme (DPS) accounts would be added to the e-Account service very soon so that people can avail all banking facilities from home." he added.
