Bangladeshi retail superstore Shwapno has been awarded the "Asia's Marketing Company of the Year of 2020" by Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) at the 6th AMF Asia Marketing Excellence Award, said a press release.

Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) is the foremost governing body of marketing in the region whose member countries include Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh.

The award reflects the excellence of marketers in the admirable qualities of versatility, innovativeness, and infallible growth.

Shwapno competed against participants from Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand,  Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia,  Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,  Sri Lanka, Taiwan  and Vietnam.  Shwapno has been recognised for its outstanding efforts in the marketing of their company's products and services, the press release added.

The Jury members undertook a meticulous assessment of all the submissions throughout November 2020, and selected the winners through a rigorous process.

The Bangladesh Chapter Marketing Society of Bangladesh (MSB) of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) and Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) chose the nominees in two categories: Marketing Company of the Year and Marketing 3.0.

The physical awarding is expected to take place on February 2021 in Singapore.
