Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd registered more than 15% growth in sales over the first six months of the 2020-21 fiscal year, while its net profit jumps by almost 30%.

Company Secretary Mohammad Asad Ullah thanked the company's new products to fight Covid-19, increased exports and the extended production capacity over the last two years.

Beximco Pharmaceuticals earned Tk1,440 crore in revenue over the July-December period which was Tk1,250 over the same period a year ago.

Profit after taxes for the six month rose to Tk223 crore which was Tk171 crore over the same period a year ago.

Beximco pharmaceutical's earnings per share rose to Tk4.95 for the first half, up from TK3.83 a year ago.

In the October-December quarter the company's sales jumped to Tk747 crore, which was Tk 619 crore a year ago.

Profit jumps to Tk 115 crore from Tk 84 crore over the same quarter in 2019. Quarterly EPS rose to TK2.24 from Tk1.89 a year ago.
