Under the purview of Bangladesh Bank declared refinance scheme for lower income groups hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) recently signed a deal with PAGE Development Center, Cumilla.

The deal was signed at the bank's headquarters in the capital, said a press statement.

Under this agreement, Quazi Osman Ali, managing director of SIBL, handed over an investment cheque worth Tk15 crore to Lokman Hakim, executive director of PAGE Development Center.

Among others, Kazi Towhidul Alam, the bank's additional managing director, Md Sirajul Hoque, its deputy managing director, Sadat Ahmad Khan, head of SME and AFD, KM Barkatul Haque Sarker, manager, Cumilla Branch and Md Younus, director, credit and admin of PAGE Development Center were also present on the occasion.

Quazi Osman Ali said the lower income groups, farmers and marginal businessmen of Cumilla region would get benefit from this scheme.
