He was recognised as the Best Taxpayer in the Large Taxpayer Unit for the 2019-20 fiscal year by the NBR

Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Standard Chartered Bank has been recognised as the 'Best Taxpayer' in the Large Taxpayer Unit for the 2019- 20 fiscal year by the National Board of Revenue with a Certificate of Honour on Monday.

Ahmed, who is also the international director of Lions Clubs International was also honored by the NBR as a long-time income taxpayer of the Dhaka City Corporation on the same event.

Md Ali Reza FCMA, acting company secretary of Standard Bank received the award on behalf of Ahmed at a function at NBR's office in Dhaka.

Ahmed is a distinguished industrialist, former president of FBCCI, member of the Advisory Council of Bangladesh Awami League, chairman of the Sub-Committee on Industry and Commerce of Bangladesh Awami League.
