Nagad not to cut service during holidays
The country's government-run digital financial service Nagad is set to uphold its service across the country during the ongoing 10-day general holidays, said a press release on Wednesday.
Employees of the company will continue their duties to provide convenient service for people.
The financial service provider made this statement in such a moment, when people are on rush for withdrawing cash from banks and other financial organisations amid deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Shudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra, director general of Bangladesh postal department said, like any other holidays, Nagad will ensure its uninterrupted services during this period.
Besides, Nagad will not charge any fees for cashing the first Tk1000 out as per the instruction of Bangladesh Bank.
Nagad, since its inception, has been striving to reach out to the country's marginal people with its convenient digital financial services.
