MetLife Bangladesh launches Covid-19 support programme for customers

MetLife Bangladesh has announced a new initiative in response to the Covid-19 situation in Bangladesh on Wednesday, according to a press release.

The newly launched programme titled "Sathe Achi – MetLife Covid-19 Customer Support Programme" provides unique health and financial support for MetLife's individual policy holders.

Some of the features include - free of charge 24/7 online doctor consultation via chat or video calls for Covid-19 or any other health issues; and one-time financial support for isolation, hospitalisation or death caused by Covid-19.

MetLife's Individual Policy holders will have to register for this programme.

"Sathe Achi – MetLife Covid-19 Customer Support Programme" will remain open for registration for 30 days.

Registration link and other information are available on this website: https://www.metlife.com.bd/sathe-achi/

The programme is the result of a strategic partnership between MetLife Bangladesh and Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT), who collaborated on the development of the platform, the press release reads.

GTT through its division called Digital Healthcare Solutions will manage the overall operations including doctor consultation service and disbursement of financial support.

Commenting on the programme, MetLife Bangladesh's General Manager, Syed Hammadul Karim, said, "It is at the heart of our purpose to do what we can to serve our customers when they need us the most. 'Sathe Achi' program is a new initiative from MetLife Bangladesh in response to the COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh."
