ICAB, NSU sign deal for cooperation
Under this agreement, both the Institutes will cooperate with each other to foster chartered accountancy profession, accounting, and finance education, training, and some other sectors
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and the North South University (NSU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the syndicate hall of NSU on 1 April.
Under this agreement, both the Institutes will cooperate with each other to foster chartered accountancy profession, accounting, and finance education, training, workshop, knowledge sharing on accounting, financial matters, trade & commerce, business, economy through which students, teachers, professionals, other stakeholders can be benefited, reads a press release.
ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA and Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice Chancellor of NSU signed the MoU from their respective sides.
ICAB Vice President Md Abdul Kader Joaddar FCA; its CEO Shubhashish Bose; NSU Business School Dean Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, among others, were present at the programme.
Under this MoU, ICAB will award exemptions on certain papers of chartered accountancy studies to the brilliant graduates or post-graduates of the university so that they can get fast track to acquire CA professional qualification and vice-versa opening of the degree and other research or higher education for ICAB partly qualified members.
Depending on fulfilling a set of specific criteria, students of NSU will get waiver of the subjects like Accounting, Management Information, and Information Technology while studying Chartered Accountancy.
