Holister launches country's first minimum delivery and no-return charge
The ICT Ministry welcomed Hollister’s plan and promised all possible cooperation
Holister, an online shopping place, has come up with a variety of logistics services in the country which can be accessed simultaneously and easily through google-playstore, app store and website.
Holister comes with the lowest rate and fastest door-to-door delivery service in the country, no-return charge, instant payment, no cash on delivery charge and free warehouse facility for entrepreneurs, said in a press release.
In the few past years, people who have been doing business through cash on delivery have been harassed at various levels. One of the reasons for this harassment is that the sellers had to bear the cost of the return products.
Businesses have been forced to close. In addition, sellers are unable to stock their products due to delays in receiving payments on Cash on Delivery, resulting in many people losing interest in doing cash on delivery business.
All these payment issues of the sellers, the complexity of the return charge and the instant payment, which will be done within 60 minutes which is the first time in Bangladesh by Holister.
Holister launched their new venture on 19 March at a hotel in Dhaka. Welcoming Holister's initiative and wishing the service's success, former foreign minister Abul Hasan Chowdhury, who was the special guest at the event, said the service's activities would inspire people to restore their reliability on the country's logistics services, which would become a part of digital Bangladesh.
Md Abdul Sattar Sarkar, joint secretary of Ministry of ICT, also said, "Holister would make the initiative more accessible to business ventures in Bangladesh's business market and online market also." The ICT Ministry also welcomed Holister's plan and promised all possible cooperation.
Zarif Rashid Ahmed, MD of Holister, said his new plan with this logistics service will create a new platform in the Bangladesh market where general customers, traders will be assured of maximum service.
He also added, his plan would help create employment as well as create a second largest job market in Bangladesh after the garments industry and play a significant role in the country's GDP.
Holister has created another e-commerce platform where buyers can buy goods directly from importers. This will allow the buyer to purchase the product at a lower price, he added.
Holister's Chairman, SM Mahfuzul Huq, and Additional Managing Director, Waqar Alam, were also present at the event.
