FBCCI invites more Canadian investment
A delegation from the FBCCI presented its proposals at a meeting between Bangladesh and Canada at the UN Headquarters in the USA on Tuesday
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) has invited more Canadian investment to the country by making full use of lucrative offers by Bangladesh. The apex trade organisation also emphasised the need for collaboration among educational institutions of the two countries for creating demand driven human resources.
A delegation from the FBCCI presented its proposals at a meeting between Bangladesh and Canada at the UN Headquarters in the USA on Tuesday.
The FBCCI delegation, led by its president Sheikh F Fahim, is presently in the USA as part of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's entourage to attend the 74th UN General Assembly.
Salman F Rahman, adviser to the prime minister on private industry and investment, and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam were present at the meeting.
Sheikh Fahim highlighted the recent economic advancements of Bangladesh. FBCCI Senior Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf, Vice Presidents Hasina Newaaz and Md Siddiqur Rahman were also present as part of the delegation.
The FBCCI delegation will also hold discussions with different business bodies there.
