The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has expressed interest in working in research and development with the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to build a smart Dhaka city and facilitate easier civic services.
DCCI President Rizwan Rahman said this while meeting DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam at DNCC Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan Thursday, according to a press release.
"DNCC is installing more than 46,000 LED lights in Dhaka North to build a smart city and make citizen services. The 'Sobar Dhaka' app has been launched to resolve complaints related to citizen services," said DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam.
He also noted that holding tax and trade license automation will be done in the next two months.
"There is no alternative to research and development to move the city forward. So DNCC and DCCI can work together in this regard," said the DNCC Mayor.
DNCC Chief Revenue Officer Md Abdul Hamid Miah was present on the occasion.
