40 organisations win Super Brand award

40 organisations have won the Super Brand Award in Bangladesh in two years.

The companies representing a number of sectors have been nominated for this award based on a range of criteria, including product quality, maintaining commitments to customers, and company reputation.

Names of the awardees were announced via a webinar on Thursday evening.

Superbrands is a global arbiter for brands operating in 90 countries around the world. Launched in 1994, Superbrands is now recognized as the most prominent success symbol for brands.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Salman F Rahman, private sector and investment adviser to the Prime Minister, said, "This kind of recognition will not only bolster the brand's popularity in the local market, but will also contribute to building the reputation of Bangladeshi brands in the global market. Amplified global recognition is needed for the country."

He said, 'Bangladesh can boast of many achievements in different sectors. But unfortunately, these achievements are not very well known across the globe. This recognition will significantly boost international acceptance of the country's brands.

Addressing the awardee companies, he said this award is an important recognition, which would ultimately encourage each and every officer/employee and is a culmination of their hard work and dedication.

The winners of Superbrand Bangladesh 2020-21 are: Aamra Companies, AKS, ACI Pure Salt, Cow Brand Colour Coated Steel, Bashundhara Diapant, Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd, Bashundhara Paper, Bashundhara Tissue, Brac, BRB Cable Industries ltd. Channel i, Daraz Bangladesh Ltd. DBL Group, Elite Paint, Epyllion Group, Fogg, Fresh Refined Sugar, Rahimafrooz Globatt Batteries, Grameenphone Ltd., Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd, Igloo Ice Cream, IPDC Finance Limited, Matador Group, Metlife, Monno Ceramics, Pride Limited, Radio Foorti, Runner, Rupchanda, Shah Cement, Shanta Holdings ltd, Shwapno, Singer Bangladesh, SMC condoms, Super Board, Super Fresh Drinking Water, The Daily Star, Beximco Pharmaceuticals ltd, The palace Luxury Resort and Walton.
