A youth on Tuesday night died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) after getting admitted with shortness of breath on the afternoon.
"The youth, hailing from Natore was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday 5pm and had a history of asthma," Associate Professor of Medicine Department of the hospital and Convener of Coronavirus Treatment Coordination Team Dr Azizul Huq Azad told The Business Standard.
"He died so quickly that we couldn't identify the reason of death. We cannot say that he died of coronavirus without a test. He may have died due to his heart stopping or due to asthma," he said, adding that the patient was having difficulty breathing when he got admitted.
"We will collect samples for coronavirus test if we get patients showing similar symptoms from the next time," Dr Azizul further said.
