Worker injured in GPH Ispat factory in Chattogram dies

Another critically injured worker is undergoing treatment at the Chattogram Medical College Hospital

A worker of GPH Ispat's factory in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram has died after he was struck by a machine part, said sources at the factory. 

The deceased was identified as Mostofa, 35, son of Jasim Uddin, from Barshikura village in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj district. 

Another worker named Md Rashed, 25, was injured in the incident that took place on Friday morning. He hailed from Hingulipara village of Kumira union under Sitakunda upazila.

Md Alauddin, assistant sub-inspector at Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost, said two critically injured workers were brought to the hospital from Sitakunda. One of them died at the hospital, while the other is now receiving treatment.
