‘We have to brand our tourism products worldwide’
State minister for Civil aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said this in an online meeting on the occasion of “World Tourism Day – 2020” arranged by the Ministry of Civil aviation and Tourism on Sunday.
"Initiatives taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the development of the living standards of rural people will help the tourism sector as a supporting force."
State minister for Civil aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said this in an online meeting on the occasion of "World Tourism Day – 2020" arranged by the Ministry of Civil aviation and Tourism on Sunday.
"PM Sheikh Hasina has already taken multiple initiatives, and is constantly working for rural development and to improve the living standards of rural people. Protection of the rural environment is being ensured and work for rural development is being done" he added.
"Bangladesh has lot of potential and diversity in the tourism sector and products. It is high time we brand our tourism products worldwide," the State Minister further said.
"We must work to build special zones to improve the tourism sector. The traditional culture of rural Bengal must stay unharmed," RAM Obaidul Chowdhury, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism said in the meeting.
Among others, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Civil aviation and Tourism, Executive Head of Bangladesh Tourism Board Jabed Ahmed, Chairman of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Ram Chandra Das were present in the meeting.
