Prosecutor Md Mokhlesur Rahman Badal, Sabina Yasmin KhanMunni, Tapas Kanti Ball represented the state while Gazi MH Tamim stood for the accused.

Six people were accused in the case. They had been charged with murder, torture, detention, abduction, robbery during the Liberation war of Bangladesh.

Five of the accused – Mono razakar, Abdur Rashid Sarkar, Musa razakar, Mojibor Rahman and Abul Hossain died earlier. Only Tipu Sultan is alive and he is already in jail.

On May 29 last year, the tribunal accepted two allegations against the former Jamaat-e-Islami leader.
