Visa restrictions prompt Regent to suspend Bangkok flights

The Regent Airways has temporarily suspended its flights on Chattogram-Bangkok route as the number of passengers dropped sharply due to some restrictions on visa issuance by Thailand.
Subrata Sharma, general manager of Regent Airways, told The Business Standard, "Flights on the route will remain suspended for the next three months starting from September 16."
Basu Dev, a travel agent of Chattogram, said, "Regent Airways did not serve us any prior notice of the suspension. We came to know about it while trying to buy tickets."
Regent Airways is the only airlines that runs direct flights from Chattogram to Bangkok. The flight operations in this route started on April 27, 2014 and used to operate four flights a week.
