This unprovoked attack must be preplanned: Manna

Convener of Nagorik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna said the attack on Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Vice President Nurul Haque Nur was a preplanned one.

"Chhatra League activists under the banner of Muktijoddha Manch launched the barbarous attack on Chhatra Odhikar Parishad leaders. This unprovoked attack must be preplanned," he said.

This kind of cruel and brutal attack on students only for raising voice against the government is unprecedented, he said, adding such brutality and cruelty did not take place even during the Pakistani era.

This must be stopped. "If this anarchy is not stopped and justice is not ensured, there will be no space at all for freedom of expression and press home any demand," Manna said.

I urge all the people of the country including students and professionals to protest against it from their respective positions, he further added.
