The rail communications between Sylhet and the rest of the country has remained suspended following the derailment of four compartments of an oil-laden train in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj District.
A Sylhet bound oil-carrying train's four bogies derailed at Shahajibazaar at around 12:20 pm on Sunday, Atiqur Rahman, manager of Shayestaganj railway station confirmed.
As a result, the railway communication of Sylhet with the rest of the country has cut off, he further added.
