Private car catches fire, long tailback on airport road

A traffic congestion was created as a car caught fire on Airport road in the capital on Thursday night. 

The fire originated around 30 minutes ago, an assistant commissioner of Airport Traffic Zone told The Business Standard. 

Two fire fighting units have reached the spot and are trying to douse the blaze. 

Following the incident, traffic movement in the northern part of the city has come to a standstill, causing huge sufferings to commuters.
