Govt utterly failed to maintain order on roads: GM Quader
The government has completely failed to maintain order on the roads ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, says Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader.
Quader, also deputy opposition leader in parliament, made the remark while distributing Eid gifts at his residence in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The Jatiya Party chairman said that an unplanned lockdown does not succeed, and by stopping movement of public transport at a time when all other things are in operation, we have anarchy on the streets. Now, everyone is rushing back home with no regard for hygiene rules.
Saying that people are spending several time more money than they usually would, he added, "the government has completely failed to maintain order on the roads."
Joint Secretaries of the Jatiya Jubo Samhati Md Helal Uddin, Md Deen Islam Sheikh, Sheikh Sarwar Hossain, and its Central Member, Md Ziaur Rahman Bipu, addressed the programme chaired by Member Secretary Ahad U Chowdhury Shaheen.
