Banglalink declares Weather Forecast IVR 1090 free as cyclone Amphan nears

Banglalink has declared the Weather Forecast IVR 1090 as a toll-free number to help customers stay updated on Cyclone Amphan.

Customers of all mobile phone operators can also call the National Emergency Number 999 for free if they need any emergency assistance.

"During such a crisis, proper information on natural calamity can play a vital role in reducing casualties by making people aware of the situation. We urge our customers residing in the coastal areas to stay alert and updated on Cyclone Amphan using the toll-free service," Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer of Banglalink Taimur Rahman said.

"Our network team is also working round the clock to ensure uninterrupted services despite the situation," he added.

Meanwhile, Banglalink customers can also avail emergency balance by dialling *874# if they run out of balance.
