Teen found dead in Tongi Child Development Center

A teen was found dead at the Tongi Child Development Center in Gazipur on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Riz Uddin, 17, hailed from Margahat area of the South 24 Pargana district of India.
East Tongi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam said Riz was in safe custody since 7 July 2020 in a case filed in Kishoreganj for illegally infiltrating in Bangladesh.

On Thursday evening, his hanging body was recovered from the bathroom of the center and taken to the hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
His body has been kept at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital.
