Siraj elected as BILLS chairman, Nazrul secretary general

Habibur Rahman Siraj has been elected as chairman and Nazrul Islam Khan as the general secretary of Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies.

Executive council election of the organisation was held on Sunday at the Engineers' Institution Bangladesh in the capital, says a press release.

Md Mojibur Rahman Bhuiyan, Shirin Akhtar, Alhaj Shukkur Mahmud and Anwar Hossain were elected as vice chairmen.

Country Director of International Labour Organization Tuomo Poutiainen and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's representative Tina Blohm were present as guests.

Tuomo Poutiainen emphasised on the relationship between Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies and the International Labour Organisation and to continue the lobbying advocacy with the government.
