Super-shop chain Shwapno has given a job to Ehsanur Rashid Punam, an unfortunate musician who had been facing incredible hardship.
Punam, a keyboardist by hobby used to work in a garment company in Dhaka. Unfortunately, he was injured in a road accident but recovered after spending all his money on treatment. Sadly, he did not get his job back.
At the same time, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, he could not find a new job. So, Punam was forced to start driving a rickshaw.
The news of Ehsanurs struggle caught the eyes of ACI logistics limited (Shwapno) executive director Sabbir Hasan Nasir, who then hired Punam as the company's inventory and cash management officer.
The appointment letter was given to Punam last Friday.
"Looking at the online report, it seemed that it would be nice to be able to do something for Punam. We tried to do something for this man out of social responsibility, and it feels great," said Sabbir Hasan Nasir.
"I could not even think of getting a job in such a difficult time. I want to uphold the honour that Shwapno has given me with full honesty and do the new job well," expressed Punam after getting the job.
Punam was born in Rajshahi. After 2000, he was busy with music along with completing graduation as well. He has also worked with carious companies.
Punam was involved with the band 'Salvation' as a musician at that time. The band won the Star Search competition as the best band, at the same time his job in Dhaka was also going well.
But last year darkness came down in his life when he was hit by a car while returning home.
This is not the first time that "Shawpno" has shown such generosity during the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier during the beginning of the pandemic they hired 11 third gender people.
The company also hired about 300 employees when shopping increased during the general holidays announced by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
