Sagar-Runi Murder: Court summons investigation officer

The High Court has summoned the investigation officer of journalist couple Sagar and Runi murder case to appear before it on November 6.

An HC bench led by Justice Enaytur Rahim issued the order today as the investigation officer failed to submit the report for 68th times.

The next hearing on the case will be held on November 14.

Sagar Sarwar was the news editor of Maasranga TV channel and Meherun Runi was the senior reporter of ATN Bangla. They were brutally murdered at their home in the Rajabazar area of the capital on February 11, 2012.

However, no visible progress was seen in the murder case in last seven years.
